Right sided pneumothorax. Note that M mode should not be used to diagnose a pneumothorax, but simply to record it. Visualising the pleural line for lung sliding is the best way to establish it’s presence or absence. The best probe for this is the linear probe, however as in this case, the cardiac probe or even the abdominal probes can be used
